Ocean Rodeo Shift 3.0 Bar

The Shift bar is a versatile bar that is suitable for all riding styles, but is especially popular among wave riders and freeriders. It is now in its fourth year of production and is quickly becoming the standard for kite control.

The Shift bar features a backline trim that allows for reliable and seamless power adjustment, all within easy reach and without having to take your eyes off the water.

New refinements for this year include a reduced diameter grip for a more direct and tactile feel, as well as a refined diamond grip texture that is less aggressive on the hands. Other new features include crank stops at the tips of both bar floats and further refined gearing in the pawl winder assembly for precision trim control.

The Shift bar also comes with the new Gen 9 Punch Out Trim Loop and freeride Leash. These ISO 21853 compliant accessories are loaded with exciting new features to enhance your ride while delivering reliable release and depower flag out.

One Knobt Trim Control

The Sidewinder trim system allows you to twist the knob clockwise to add power and counterclockwise to depower. A quarter turn of the knob adjusts the trim by 1 cm, and five full rotations provide a total trim range of 21 cm. To depower the kite instantly, make a swift downstroke motion on the knob or bump.

The simple open design with only one moving part makes it easy to flush debris, inspect all parts, and perform maintenance if needed. The trim control is always within reach, so you can make adjustments while riding without taking your focus off the water.

Easy Auto Reset

The push release cuff stays open and ready to reset, no matter how it is released. To reset it, simply push the free end of the trim loop into the reset chamber and the cuff will automatically snap back into place.

The stainless steel release pin is protected by the cuff, so your hand is safe from injury during activation. The cuff also has an ergonomic grip for comfort and a smooth back surface to prevent accidental activation.

Trim Loop Retainer

Holds the trim loop in place in the event of slack line or extreme sheeting angles, reducing the chance of unwanted unhooking. Secure lock design between the trim loop retainer and trim loop minimizes false unhooking

Helix Force

The Helix Force Tensioned rear lines now feature a new crank stop at the top of the bar float to prevent overwinding. This ensures that the rear lines pay out smoothly even when the back line is slack. This is important when rigging on the beach, as it allows you to easily depower your kite before launch, even without tension on the back lines.

The Helix Force Tensioning system provides perfect spooling every time, regardless of the line tension from the kite. This helps to prevent tangles and improve the overall performance of the kite.

52 cm Carbon Composite Bar

The Groove Bar is a lightweight and strong bar made from carbon composite. The ergonomically shaped under bar U channel houses the trim line and is easy to flush out, ensuring smooth and reliable trim adjustments. The plush molded EVA grip with integrated bar floats provides superior grip and floatation, and the tangle-free back lines are kept snug and secure during storage thanks to the retracting bar end bungees.
